Fly to Kalimarau, then road and speedboat
Most guests do Bali first, arriving internationally, then fly (booked by you) to Kalimarau Airport (BEJ) in Berau, where we meet you.

Published rates for the Derawan package from Kalimarau Airport, not an all-in Bali-to-Bali figure. A private trip is priced by the stay you choose, and larger groups pay less each.
Flights from Bali and Bali accommodation are not included. Every figure firms up once dates and availability are confirmed.

Which appear on your run depends on 3D2N or 4D3N and on sea conditions on the day.
Island Maratua
The largest outer island and the base for most resort stays, with the Goa Halo Tabung cave pool.
Jellyfish lake Kakaban
The stingless jellyfish lake and the enclosed Laguna Kehe Daing, reached through a narrow rock channel.
Mantas Sangalaki
The manta ray island, with Manta Point and the turtle conservation site.
Mainland coast Talisayan
The whale shark point; the early run on day 3 of the 4D3N.
Mirror lake Labuan Cermin
The two-layer mirror lake on the mainland, after Manimbora on day 3.

Three regions
Adding Komodo, with Bali as the hinge
Labuan Bajo is reached from Denpasar, and Berau is reached from Denpasar by a flight you book to Kalimarau (BEJ), so Bali works as the pivot for both legs. Travellers who want both regions generally allow 12 to 14 days and treat Bali as two short stays.
The Komodo leg is quoted separately: the two regions run on different vessels, operators and seasonal calendars, so there is no combined published rate. Send both regions and your dates and you get two clear quotations; the connecting flights are booked by you.
Choosing rather than combining? Derawan is calmer, shallower and more snorkel-friendly; Komodo is a stronger-current, dive-led region. Many divers who have done Komodo come to Derawan for the contrast.
When to go
April to November: Derawan sets the dates
April to November is the best season in Derawan, when the crossings between the outer islands are most reliable; December to March is the wetter period. Bali is a year-round destination, so book the Derawan leg first and fit the Bali days around it, not the other way round.
Locked-in Bali dates with no availability in the archipelago is the common failure mode.
