When to go, and for how long
April to November is the best season; December to March is the wetter period, and open-trip departures are published in every month. Fly (booked by you) to Kalimarau Airport (BEJ) in Berau, then ~2.5–3 h by road to Tanjung Batu and ~40 min by speedboat.
Talisayan whale sharks are an early-morning run together with Manimbora and Labuan Cermin, about 6 h round trip, and are included on the 4D3N trip.

Accessibility
Access for guests with limited mobility
Tell us about any needs at least 72 hours before arrival so rooms, transfers and boats can be prepared.
Staff can help guests on and off the speedboat to Derawan. Menus in large print, written notes and visual aids are available, and snorkelling can be done with one-to-one assistance.

Where a private trip starts
Private trips use the rates published by Indonesia Juara, nett: from USD 1,290 in total for two guests on the 3D2N (Standard) or USD 2,190 on the 4D3N. The stay you choose, the tier and your group size change the price.
Flights to Berau (BEJ) are not included.
